Presence in the Forest, Presence in Simply Being
Many of us spend our lives moving from one thing to the next. One task. One conversation. One responsibility. One goal. We become so accustomed to movement that we rarely notice the spaces in between.
Yet life does not only unfold within activity.
There is a quiet pause after the breath leaves the body and before it returns. There is a moment of stillness between one thought and the next. There is a silence that lingers after meaningful words have been spoken. There is a spaciousness that appears when we stop trying to arrive somewhere else.
These moments often go unnoticed because they seem so ordinary. They offer no dramatic revelation. No fireworks. No grand spiritual experience.
And yet they are always here.
When we begin paying attention to these subtle spaces, something shifts. We discover that awareness is not dependent upon what is happening. It remains present whether life feels peaceful or chaotic, joyful or difficult. Beneath the changing currents of experience, there is a stillness that has never left us.
Perhaps presence is not something we create. Perhaps it is what remains when we stop overlooking what has always been here.
Today, pause for a moment between activities. Notice the silence. Notice the space. Notice the simple fact of being.
Nothing needs to be added. Nothing needs to be achieved. This moment is already complete.
